Chapter leader (candidates interested please post here)
Hi everyone,
I thought it might be a good idea for all candidates interested in running for the Chapter leader position to post here. This way, we can keep track of everyone who is interested all in one thread. Anyone who as already expressed an interest in other threads, please post here as well.
Thanks!
I've been giving this a lot of thought, and I'm throwing my hat in the ring.
I realize at our last meeting that I had expressed no interest due to having a full plate (renovation, band, moderating, etc.).
Well, the renovation is nearing completion. The rest of the work will now be sub'ed out.
The band only really gets together once every 2-3 weeks for a couple hours, and is flexible.
Moderating doesn't take much of my time, and I'm on FTE everyday anyway.
I'm not a politician by any means, and I really hate "blowing my horn", but if I must.........
My track record:
FTE user since February 1999
Club FTE member since January 2001 (member# 0000046)
Moderator of 4 FTE forums (1948-60,Y-block, Flathead, & SD engine).
Positive reputation
Good organization skills
I'm here every day
Always open to constructive critisism (that's how we improve)
History of employment in supervisory, management, & business owner positions.
Well, since no one else will step up to the plate, and I think enough time has passed to let people step up, I say we elect kenny as our chapter leader. Anyone in agreement?
I'm flattered, willing, and ready, but let's not forget about Vinman. He did mention an interest. I'm not sure why he didn't post here, but I guess it could be possible he didn't see this thread?
If you guys feel that it is time, I guess we can make a poll.
Hi everyone, my name is John, I live in Kearny, Hudson County. I drive a 2001 Ex PSD. I've had it and loved it since I bought it from Meadowlands Ford with 3500 miles on it (Dealer Demo). I must have been having major brain cramps because I really couldn't find it. I kept looking in the "Chapters" section on the upper right of the page. Ken00 has been telling me for months that there was a NJ Chapter. What a Bozo I am at times! Sorry I missed the first meeting and sorry I'm going to miss the second. Too close to the holidays, too much to do. Hopefully I'll be at your third. Kenny for President! With those qualifications it's a no brainer. Congratulations Kenny. And thank you Ken00 for the shortcut/link that got me here. I'll be checking in as often as I can. Later Peeps!
Dennis:
At this time we've still have not had a formal vote on our president, I think this should be taken care of at our next meeting to held on Jan.16. Otherwise Kenny will win if no other member is going to stepup to be a candidate.
