Which wt motor oil?
Hey what is everybody using for oil? Currently running mobil 1 0-20wt oil. But with so many choices like 0-20,0-30,5-30,10-30,5-40,15-50? Frankly I'm confused. I know the manual says 5-20 but it just seems to thin and in the Texas heat I am concerned with wear protection. Thanks XspeedyX. P.S. I guess I'M just used to old fashond 30wt oil.

5W-20 was a last-ditch effort to gain a smidgen more MPG. If you look at the spec's for Excursions in other countries (where 5W-20 is nearly impossible to find), you'll see 10W-30 is the standard. 5W-20 may be good for MPG, but I want my beast to last awhile. I use 10W-30.
