Unhappy Transmissin Code: 1780 ???

I have been having what I thought was a "bad gasoline" problelm, but have had no "Check lights" come up. When I'm driving my '02 S'crew w/5.4L, will get an intermitant hesitation. It feels like a "engine miss", but may only "miss" 1 or 2 times. I had gotten some "suspect" gasoline, before all of this started. I have since had the TB cleaned and the fuel filter replaced. I have also put 3 pints of "Seafoam" into the tank @ 3 different times. I still have the intermitant "miss" or hesitation. I took it to a local mechanic and he ran his "scan tool" on it. Came up with: Code 1780. He said he would just run it until it finally sends a "Service Enginge" or equivalent code. Otherwise I could be chasing "ghosts". Does anyone have any ideas to help me fix this or should I just wait until it won't go anymore? Thanks, in advance!

P1780 means either the OD cancel button doesn't work, or the tech didn't press it while running self test.

Thanks, but I still have the same problem (just not as often). It may well be that the "tech" didn't push the button, as the button does work. I'm just going to "ride it out". Thanks, again!
