Serpentine belt
I currently own a 99 F250 4X4. I previously owned an 88 F150 Custom. With both trucks I have had trouble with the belt squealing whenever it is damp outside. In the summer months it's fine. I have replaced the serpetine belt 2X already on the 99. It is fine for a while then it starts to squeal again. I have shot WD40 on it and this only stops it temporarily. I was wondering if it is the tensioner pulley or something else. Thanks for any feedback.

umm WD-40 isn’t exactly a good idea, you want the belt to be sticky not slide off the crank pulley slippery use a belt cleaner or brake clean can work too but all these are temp fixes. My 99 v10's belt needs replaced about every 15k miles from glazing up.

how many miles aer on this? if it is much over 50000 miles there is a good chance the tensioner is used up. i do agree however it could be the belts, i have had no luck with napa belts staying quiet at all.
