wiring schematic for AWD
Just a follow-up and a thank you for the insight from my previous post (E-AWD Problem?). I found a wiring schematic for a 92 AWD system and thought it would be useful on this forum. Link is http://autorepair.about.com/library/...s/bl419lib.htm
The Ford dealer service manual is also available at our central library reference Dept.
After cleaning the sensors and connectors I haven't had any problems, but still haven't driven it at high speed for very long. After doing some math, I realize my front tires, at just one step up in size, are about 2" greater in circumference than my rear ones. Even if this isn't the cause of my lock-up, the extra wear can't be good for the transfer case, so I will be getting 4 new matching tires (after next payday).
