I've looked around this forum for any information on this and can find none...Has anybody replaced the strange trash sack holder that is underneath the dash cup-holders with something useful? It seems like a panel could be made to hold just about anything there, from gauges to LCD screens...heck even a clock would be better! It just seems like wasted space...if anybody has contacts in the truck-part manufacturing business, I think this would be a good area for some experimentation. Any thoughts?
I have got a trash bag hanging there that I use all the time.
It works for me cause I have two kids with tons of trash on the road. But can see where the space could be used for other things.
I actually use this to hang my sunglasses on. My glasses have the croakies and it works to hang them there instead of sliding all over and getting lost inside the beast!
All great ideas, but I'm wondering if anybody has done anything with the space there by removing that panel. I'm not in the plastics industry, but it seems like it would be a great place for an aftermarket panel to mount gauges, radios, CBs, cell phones, etc... (If anybody in manufacturing is listening...)
Even just a flat panel would be nice so I could mount my own stuff myself.
Oh well, for the time being, I'll find something to hang on it.
OK - so I've heard about this trash bag thingie and I've looked for it> My truck does not have one, but it also has a rear brake caliper mounted on the forward side of the rear port axle. Where is it?
