4-Wheeler Advice

I've been looking into getting an ATV for a while now. Just waiting for the money to roll in, but that's what loans are for. I was looking at either the Yamaha Bruin 4x4, or the Yamaha Wolverine. Any opinions on either of these 2 from experience, or know someone who has ridden one?

Try www.bluetraxx.com/phpBB/index.php for the Bluetraxx forums. (Yamaha forums)

I'm more of a Honda guy though (I have a Foreman 450s)

If you are using it for work more than pure play...then the Bruin will be a better choice. The Wolverine is more sporty, intended for the fast trail rider who uses the ATV for lighter work.

Hey thanks for the link ATC. I'm leaning more towards the Wolverine...if i go yammer-hammer, lol. I've looked into some Hondas too. I'm not totally sure yet. i just want one, I'll settle for about anything, haha.

I recently purchased a Kawasaki Brute Force 750,,, what a ride this gives you,,,and hang the Frig on,, ,,watched my son pull the wheels up about a foot in a wheelie for about 20 ft with it,,have done it myself too.

None of us wants to even ride the Honda anymore,,its a 97' 300 TRX 4x4.

Brutus ( I call it ) has so much more ground clearence, great running boards, and we also got the winch on it.

I would think the Honda Rincon would be a close match,,for ride,, but the V-twin is awsume in the Kawi,,,dealer said it would do 70 mph,,we only have a spot to go 1/2 that speed.

Later,,,,,,,,,,Mark
P.S. If I buy another ATV,,it will be another Brute Force,,

Hey, thanks M350. I'd love one of those, but I'm trying to keep it right around $5,000.

I do not follow ATVs too much, but, I saw an ad somewhere for a 4x4 with a locking front diff. Seems like that would be good for mud and swamps. Might be worth checking out.

Check out the Polaris ATV's. Most of my buddies swear by them.

I have 2 Polaris 500 Sportsman. I looked around and tired all of them. The Polaris 500 and up in size have the engine brake. After drivng some of the others with out it. I'll never own one that doesn't have an engine brake. Next year Polaris is to have out a 800 EFI 2 passager. My wife does not like to drive, but likes to go. For two people, the 500 is not enough. Alone, it's awesome. I think that they are still running the 0 down and $49.00 a month for two years.

On the Kawasaki Brute Force it is also 0 (zero) down,,but $ 39.00 bucks a month,,I just got my first bill,,, Oh well,, will pay it off quick, and maybe think about another.

I was really thinking about a Polaris,,have 3 sleds,,but they weigh upto 100 lbs more then other ATV's,,which could be trouble at times,,,the Brute Force weighs 604 lbs,,thats bad enough,,imagine 704 or more on top of ya, or stuck,,,

Later,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Mark
