Go with a viper system, this is my third on a diffrent vehicle and swear by them. They might be a little expensive but well worth the money. I suggest the two way system.

Cost... Lets see.... I think I got a little ripped off, but with what I paid for the rest, I think it worked out.... We paid 599.00 for a pro install by an alarm shop through the dealer so it is completely warranteed.
I havent quite figured out how to use all the features and set some of the settings, but I am sure I will when I have a few minutes.
So far, I set the alarm off in front of a bunch of people, I started the truck from in the video store, walked up to it, unlocked the door and didnt put the Key in soon enough and the alarm went off. Pretty neat.
Anyway, I will let you know how it goes. I have not seen anywhere online to look at them except www.FordParts.com, I think that was it. They happen to have most parts at up to 40 percent off. Most prices I saw were cheaper than anywhere else.
Let me know what you find. I am thinking about putting a Clifford or Viper in my 99 F-150 due the price and bells and whistles.
Also, mine says it works from over a thousand feet.

Also, mine says it works from over a thousand feet. I believe that to be the case, cause i started mine from inside costco, and it started clear at the far end of a large parking lot!
