transmission shift points

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with some info. Both my wife and I have F-150's. The problem is that her 01 shifts too soon, from 1st to 2nd gear. It's rather annoying, I really notice the difference when I drive my 03 and and then drive hers there after. Both trucks have super chips programers set exactly the same. Both trucks have the 5.4 with the same 4r100 tranny. I have heard that there are companies out there that can reprogram or update the pcm. I have asked the dealer about the "problem" that I have, and got the "preverbial smoke" blown up my hind. I would appreciate any info someone might have to steer me in the right direction.

yes they can update ur PCM for free that is likely the problem. if not then the TPS sensor is off on the 01. i had mine updated to the latest right before i got my chip installed and its a 97 year model and i just got my chip in about 2-3months ago

Thanks for the info '150OWNZ. When you say "they", you mean the dealer can update it for me? I guess I could also have them check the throttle pos. sensor while they've got it.
