Found my clunking noise
I looked closer under the truck today and I think I foudn what has been causing the clunk I hear when I give it gas or let off the gas. When the car is off and in park, it looks as though the transfer case is resting against the bed of the trcuk, or the cross frame right above the transfer case. Is it suppose to be that close to the frame cross bar? I have a feeling the tranny mount may be worn out but I think the transfer cae is too high, any thoughts? Basically anytime I give it gas or let off the gas its hitting the frame.

I had the truck checked out today by a drivetrain shop, the guys that work there also have mid 70's F250's so they know these trucks real well. Turns out I have a Lincoln motor mount on the driver side and a 351 motor mount on the passenger side, they said its due to these motor mounts that the motor sits lower and thus the transfer case higher, all I need is the proper conversion motor mounts and I should be fine. SWEET! I thought it was my driveshafts or bad torque converter at first, but then noticed the transfer case hitting the frame, cool!
