VIN info

Hey Guys,
Anyone know how I can search my VIN # on a 99 F-350 CC DWD 4X4? I just bought the truck and the keyless entry doesn't work,,The dealer says it must not of come with it ,,but yet the keys have the remote,that they gave me when I bought it,,,Dunno whether to trust them or not. Gotta say this is My first Ford and so far I love it!!!!! I've been thru 2 dodges and a chevy and nothing pulls as nice as this truck,,V10 power awesome and the ride is sweet..

The VIN# isn't going to tell you if the truck came with a remote start. If you want VIN info, go the the FAQ in this forum. You can decipher it from the information posted there.

You'd probably have to track down the original order invoice. Maybe if you email Ford directly they can help you. Their customer service department may take a few days to get back to you, but from my experience they have always been very helpful and glad to answer any questions.

If you have your owners manual there are steps to program the remote in the manual.

I bought a used 99 F250 ,and I called Ford customer service,I told them the VIN and while I was on the phone, they told me what options came with the truck. I dont know the phone # though . But thats what I would do.
