it can be done with just a leveling kit.. ive done the research. theres a couple 04's with the setup- even on stock fx4 wheels. they do rub on full turn of the wheel though.
I was thinking of using 315/70R17 BFG with a leveling kit, any chance the slight difference in size from the size mentioned above would make any difference?
lanikai19, who in Eugene did you talk to about the leveling kit?
I talked to Archer Bros on w. 11th, still said the leveling kit was 2".... and Tire Factory told me I needed a 4" lift to fit my bigger tires and to get a 2nd opinion??

Every Leveling Kit I Have Researched 2 And 2 1/2 All Say That You Can Run 35's. I Just Installed A 2" Revtek Lift And Have Plenty Of Room For My 33's And I Think 35's Would Work Also. My Lift Only Gave Me 1 3/4 Of Lift So If You Got The Full 2 1/2 Inches I Know 35's Would Clear.
I agree with Shane: The min would be Rancho. It is not cool to rub the tires. The best configuration in my opinion is to go with a 6 inch lift to maximize the use of the 35 inch tires....
That's why I'm only gonna go with a 287/70/17 on a 17x9 with my leveling kit. I don't like the Stuffed look, and I sure don't wanna rub when off-road. I really don't wheel my truck, but use it hunting and working. And that requires the use off-road in the mud.
must be something wrong with me i think 35s look weird with a 6 inch. they look too small kinda like when the monster trucks are running the spare tires to get them to fit inside the trailer. if i had a 6 inch i would want 38s or 40s.
I wanted 37s but was told they wouldn't fit...I didnt want to do any trimming and definitely did not want it to rub. I dont think there is all that much space.
