Hello all, I'm new here and waiting on financing confirmation from Ford. If everything goes through I'm planning on picking up an 04 F250 by the weekend. My prior truck was an 01 Dodge and after 4 transmissions and a dash that is falling apart I thought it was time for a change. Oh, by the way, I do presently own an 87 F150 4X4 with a 300 6 cyl and a 3 in. lift kit that has been a good truck. I was hoping to get some piece of mind on the deal I worked out on this truck so I thought the experience of this forum would be helpful. Well, that said the deal is as follows:
04 4X4 Red Supercab long bed XLT 6.8, 4-spd, 3.73, tubular steps, shift on the fly, sliding rear window, telescoping mirrors, fog lamps, 15k hitch, 6-way power seat and privacy glass all for the low low price of.......$25,640.00 before t/t. Please let me know what you think and thanks to all.
Thanks for the help.
I was faxed the printout and MSRP is $35,635.00 and it looks like invoice to be $31,734.62 (kind of hard to tell by fax quality).
After talking to the salesman earlier today he said with t/t and a $349.00 doc fee out the door price would be $26,944.50 including the current NC rebate of $3,000.00 plus an extra $1,000.00 for financing w/Ford and additional $300.00 commercial rebate for business. I thought 7.5% for 60 months was a little high on a new one but I could be wrong.
They're selling it for $500 BELOW invoice, and that INCLUDES tax, tags and title? You'd be a fool to pass that up! Why would they be willing to take such a loss? Or maybe they can't REALLY sell it for that? Time will tell.....
Yes, the interest rate is ridiculous, but you're picking up an extra $1000 rebate along with it. Pay off the FMCC loan as soon as you can, and re-finance it with your local bank or credit union at a lower rate.
Jeff, I thought that was a good deal but like you said, lets wait and see what kind of rabbits they pull out of their hat when its time to sit at the table and do the paperwork. This didn't come easy I had to do some creative bargaining.
I also thought the Doc fee was high but if I can flip the loan ASAP, get the rebates, then the Doc fee will be offset by the savings on the total purchase.
Hseries, I do need this truck ASAP. I'm a little paranoid of the dodge after this many transmissions. I here the driveshaft clanking intermittently while changing gears. Just don't want to be stuck on the side of the road trying to explain to a customer I won't be able to make to his plant to make his floors pretty for him this weekend.
Thanks for all your help and I'll let you know how I make out.
