rear end swap

Well, I finnaly grabbed a 9" out of an '80 (I think) F100. I'd like to put this into my '84 F150 4x4. My plan is to install an ARB air locker. The question I have is, what ratio should I go with? The rear has a 2.75 right now & I intend to change it. Right now I have a 3.55 limited slip (8.8") & have been thinking of going to a 3.73 when I install the ARB. I realise that this isn't a HUGE difference, but I do use this truck to tow (& haul) things around & spend time in the mountains & the lower ratio would be helpfull. I don't want to go too much lower as I'd still like to be able to go down the freeway without my crank walking out of my block. However, if I do go with another ratio, I'm going to go ahead & switch the front end to a solid axle (I've been thinking of doing this regardless). There's a junk yard near me & they have a few '78-9 F150/broncos that would make great donors. Oh, I'm running a 300 six/NP435/NP208 & 32" tires. Other than going to a little bit bigger tires (no more than 35"), the rest of the driveline is staying. Thanks.

It sounds to me that you've already answered your question. Seems to be a logical choice.
