I just wanted everyone to know how much help Jeff has been to me in my search for a new '05 SD. Jeff is a wealth of information, he's extermely polite, very prompt and insightfull. If you live in or near NY (or really anywhere in the Northeast) and are looking to purchase a Ford, you'd be absolutely foolish not to purchase from Jeff -- IMHO! Jeff truly deserves the moniker "Jeff the Great".
Unfortunately, I live in Texas and just can't afford to make the trek to NY to pick up a new truck. Has anyone in the Texas/Arkansas/Oklahoma/Louisiana area found a dealer at least close to Jeff in ease to do business with and pricing? I don't mind driving to one of the surrounding states to pick up my new truck (which I haven't ordered yet). Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated. All the dealers I've spoken with in the Dallas/Fort Worth area are not willing to sell for anything less than $100 over invoice (most want $500 over) and most have some sort of suspicious add-ons that they "require" you to purchase (e.g. "Tirexam"). So if you know of a "Jeff the Great" clone or lookalike in or near Texas, please let me know ASAP so I can get my new SD ordered!
Thanks!

Thanks Ron. I'll give Cochise a call. Do you remember whether his pricing is close to Jeff's. Is he an honest and professional "straight shooter" like Jeff?
I am looking for this sort of deal as well. I had one email me today and say that he would match the $500 under invoice. I have a trade though and I suspect he will try to make it up on the backend.
I believe this explains that Brons: What the right hand giveth, the left taketh away. Too bad they can't all be like Jeff. Just watch em real close and be firm.
I would go up and buy from Jeff in a heartbeat, problem is I am upside down on my trade and driving it up there putting 1700 miles additional on it doesn't help. I do have the cash to bridge the gap so I am thinking about selling it on my own and just paying the overage out of pocket, then financing 100% including TT&L on my new truck.
