I Just Installed A Revtek 2" Leveling Kit On My 04 Screw. Job Was A Piece Of Cake. It Took Me (by Myself) Only 3hrs. Including Eating Lunch And Taking Pics. Make Sure You Have Access To A Wall Mount Strut Compressor, I Don't Think The Manuel Models Are Strong Enough. I Borrowed One From A Snap-on Dealer And That Thing Was Scaring Me So I Went To A Friends Shop And Used His Wall Model. The Only Thing I Don't Like Is I Did Not Get A Full 2" Of Lift. My Tires Clear Fine But I Would Like That Extra 1/2 Inch.
In Reading Some Of The Other Forums There Is Alot Of Concern And Comments About Gearing, Loss Of Power, And Fuel Economy. Here Is My Take On That. As Of My Last Fill Up I Am Getting 14.08 Mpg And That Is An Average Of Three Tanks. I Will Check It Now With The Larger Tires And Get Back With You. As Far As Power Loss I Have The 5.4 With 3.55 Gears And So Far (about 70 Miles With The Lift) I Dont See Any Noticable Difference In Power. Before The Lift When The Cruse Was Set On 60 The Tach Neddle Was On The Top Side On The 1500 Mark And Yesterday Going Home The Numbers Were Exactly The Same. I Had A 1989 F250 With A 302 And With 4" Lift And 35's I Could Not Use The Cruise. Those Tires Pulled That 302 So Much That If You Set The Cruise It Was Constantly Shifting To Passing Gear Just To Maintain The Set Speed. I Did Not Have That Problem With This Truck.

Looks good. I like the setup. Do those wheels really only have a 4" backspacing? I want to run the same setup but the wheel i am looking at only comes in a 5" backspacing and was told you need a 6" backspace to fit 33s without rubbing.
I think it looks good. I would say you could maybe use an extra 1/2", but better that, than riding nose high. I really like how your wheels sit too. And if you don't rub, you are set!
THE WHEELS ARE EITHER 4" OR MAYBE 4 1/2". I MEASURED THEM BEFORE I MOUNTED THEM BUT DON'T REMEMBER EXACTLY. I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING ABOUT BACK SPACING. BUT I'LL TELL YOU WHAT, IF THESE RIMS WERE 6" BACKSPACING WHICH WOULD PULL THE TIRES INSIDE ANOTHER 2"( IF MINE ARE EXACTLY 4") THEN IT APPEARS TO ME THAT THE TIRES WOULD RUBB THE SPINDLE AT THE UPPER BALL JOINT
Nick21, I Have Not Measured The Overall Height But Will Do It For Ya. As Far As Parking Garages, I Only Installed The Lift Yesterday 10/19 But I Don't Go Anywhere Around Here That Has A Parking Garage Except Maybe A Motel Or Hospital. Don't Plan On Going To Either Anytime Soon, Know What I Mean
Thanks for the info. I just checked with american racing and your wheels are 4 and a half" backspacing. 5" backspacing is the most you can use on a 04 with 17" rims. To run the 6" backspacing the rim has to be 20".
