rear wiper

hi this is my first time on this forum i have a 2000 explorer xls the rear wiper only works when it wants to and when it does it only wipes half the window any help would be great thanks

hey m8, mine has same prob..but it works all the time but only wipes half the window, has anyone worked out how to fix this??

does it stop at the middle or does it go all the way around

They must all do this as this is a much talked about problem. I bent the arm of mine to allow the wiper to clean most of the window.

mine goes all the way accross but misses the middle of the window...

i have read that other people have bent their wiper arm a little in to fix that issue...give it a try

I bent the arm and it was the dealership that told me thats how they fix it.

My 199 rear window wiper quit but i can turn it on and go back and wiggle it and it starts working. I was in a site for a fix for the ford radio display and they were also selling a fix for the rear window as well. It was just the instructions because they said no parts were needed. Anyone know what that is?

hey...I fixed it, thanks to the guys on this forum..thanks guys!!!

All i did was just bent the arm a little and now it does the whole window
