Horrible Mileage
I have a 2002 PSD 4x4 3/4 Ton CC, SB and my mileage is less to be disired. The truck has abour 45k miles on it and is stock. I am getting around 9 in town and 10-12 on the highway.
Any suggestions?

2001 F350 Powerstroke Crewcab longbed
I am only getting 12.9 miles per gallon highway with my 2001 F350 Powerstroke Crewcab longbed. I am also wondering what I have to do to get better mileage.
I was in mountains up/down highway, and curves. I have 4" exhaust and K&E air intake system. I drive fairly easily usually rpms are below or around 2k rpm.
Any suggestions???

Greetings Alaskan. Check the fuel filter, changing the oil are easy, quick fixes/trials to improve mileage. That is fairly low MPG, are you calculating this over a couple tanks of fuel or reading the "accurate" overhead console? Has it gotten that kind of mileage since you bought it? Is that bone dry empty weight or hauling? You can try an additive like Diesel Kleen to improve cetane.

if you have tried the above, might check the injectors. I don't have that much PSD experience, but other diesel experience I have some, and bad injectors could help contribute to the cause.

diesel klean is an additive that you mix with your diesel and it cleans your engine pretty much. it comes in a gray bottle and you can get it at walmart in the automotive section, about $5 and it will mix with 100 gallons i think
