I know dynamat is good and all, but I've heard of people using other things. Anyone know what another good soundproof material is? I've also heard its cheaper
im about to do my truck cab with something, my 2 12's make it rattle way to
much plus i hate how i can hear the metalesh sound when i change songs
realy fast, so i no thats messen with how good my sound is.
I need some of the spray stuff and dynamat like stuff. My whole truck rattles.. roof, door panels, locks inside the doors, all my mirrors, rear hatch, center console, and the plastic panels on my pillars. Pretty bad when I can tell what freq. I'm hitting by how fast everything's rattling, slower the rattle, lower the note. I've heard people talk about the roofing stuff, what do you guys think about it?
I ordered Damplifier from Second Skin. It looks like Dynamat Extreme but a little tougher. Second Skin also makes a spray on deadener called Spectron. I recommend anyone call Ant at Second Skin and talk to him directly about your application. Very helpful guy who will give it to you straight no matter who you end up buying from. He also recommended doing the cab roof but I chose not to. I just don't want to rip out the headliner. From what I have researched, whatever you do, skip the asphalt based roofing materials. They may look like Dynamat but you don't want that stuff inside your truck. Lots of complaints about it coming unstuck and problems with asphalt odor.
I know exactly how that *brnk nrnk brnkkk* sound sounds like. I have a bronco II with 2 12's rated at 600 wRMS and 750 wRMS, and an amp pushing about 140 or so wRMS each.
