fuel guage problem

Hi,

I have a 92 F250 4x4 with twin tanks. The fuel guage doesn't work on
the mid tank, but the tank supplies fuel ok. What is the best way to find the problem? If it the fuel level sender, is it a separate item or is it part of the in-tank fuel pump? ($$$$)

It's a separate part, but of course you have to drop the tank to get to it. Check all the wiring before you do that, especially the selector switch.
