O.k. guys, I have tried using three different charts to decode my VIN and cannot figure it out. I also need to figure out if my engine has the split shot injectors or the single shot which I have heard were both used in '96.
I ran a CARFAX before I bought this truck and it came back clean. I actually talked to the original owner so I don't think anything is fishy - more likely I am using VIN tables that are inaccurate as I have yet to find the W26 chassis type.

Is this what you're looking for? I ran the VIN through at this link:
Hello, I was wondering if you would be able to decode this VIN number 1FTWW31PX5EB30997. We odered 2 trucks, and using Fords VOPC 1-800 # 1 of the trucks EAD is 11/29, but the other truck VIN # 1FTWF31525EB67314 says the build date is December 6th. I am trying to find out which truck is coming first, mine or my brother's. Any help would be great.
John, I would think if you looked on the valve cover to see what HP is listed. If I remember the split shots were 225hp and the regulars were 215hp. If worse comes to worse you could pull a valve cover and get the part # of the injector and have the dealer cross reference it.
