93 Ranger Chirping?

93 Ranger Chirping?
My 93 Ranger (3.0L, 5 spd) has begun to make a chirping sound when I accelerate. I don't here this sound when idling - only when accelerating. A few days before this I put some water remover and some injector cleaner into my full tank of gas. A buddy mentioned that this clicking or chirping could be a result of the additives and that it should go away when the gas is emptied and replaced. I'm hoping this is the case but what do you guys think?

Your serpentine belt is probably beginning to slip. Search the for suggestions on how to prep your pulleys if the belt has done any slipping, otherwise the new one will start slipping soon also.

I've replaced the belt. Chirping persisted. However, I filled up the gas tank after I used what was in there (the water remover and injector cleaner). The chipring went away - until today. It still seems to spit a lot of water when idling (it's cold here in Alberta now)and it's running rough and seems to lack the power I used to have. The plugs have recently been replaced and the wires and distributor about a year or so ago.
When you say valves - are we talking $$??

When you replaced the belt did you clean the pulleys per my instructions? I can't see where moisture in the tank would cause engine chirping unless you were getting a nasty miss. Down here in USA the moisture in the tank comes from the alcohol in the fuel.

Could it be your catalitic converter stoping up? And the chirping is exhaust blowby at your donut gasket. Too too much alcohol in your fuel. Never put that water away crap in your fuel, just fill the tank insead.
