4.6 liter heads
I know that this doesn't really belong here but I am thinking of buying a 1994 mercury cougar with a 4.6 v-8. Their is a bent intake valve on the passenger side that is causing the car to miss. The rocker jumped off of the valve causing the car to miss. Supposedly a shop just redone the heads on this car, I saw the bill, $2200.00 someone got took. I think I can buy the car for $800.00 it has new tires, and only 50,000 miles on it. It is also from florida. Where is a good place to get a rebuilt head ready to bolt on? I do not really want to stick $600.00 in one head. I will do the work myself with the exception of doing the actuall valve work,(grinding, seats and other necessary valve work. Local junker wants 200.00 for a complete one that is guarenteed to be good. thanks Jake
