Thermostat failure
1989 F250 with 460 cid... EFI.
for the last few days, it has been running almost totally cold. The gauge fluctuates but it's barely visible. At high way speeds, it is not even in the operating temperature range.
I am thinking it's the T-stat which failed - in the open position so the coolant constantly circulates.
Interestingly enough, I have some heat, not very hot, sort of warm.
Question is, which T-stat must I get as a replacement?
Is it in upper radiator hose or lower?
