Rushing River, just east of Kenora, Ontario, CANADA.
Not many places in Manitoba or near Kenora where it can rain in July and when it stops, there are no mosquitoes. What else I found neat is that for the whole night, there is not one dog barking. It is just too quiet even for the dogs. They don't want to be the one to make noise.
The Uinta mountains in north eastern Utah. Hundreds of miles of high mountain lakes, scenic views and rugged terrain. I too am yearning for summer...can't wait to see the stars in the mountains.
The Boston mountians in Northwestern Arkansas, Along the Buffalo River, soaring rock bluffs, waterfalls,Just a canoe, whitewater, and the beautiful ozarks. The Mullberry river nearby is very nice also, not quite as senic, but the river is more challenging, with less people too.
Lake Pleasant in the winter down here in Arizona and spring good off-road trails and good fishing mourn the boat right on shore and camp right next to the water. But in the summer down here I like going up north to Prescott lake nice and cool not 115-118F during the day and plenty of trees hard to get shade from a cactus down here in Phoenix

The Beach Campground in North Conway, NH. It's the best because we'll be there every weekend this summer watching our log home be built. Don't want to sound like I'm bragging but we can't wait.

Thanks, the reason I suggested the Yoho is because it's only 1/2 hr west of Banff. Banff is a Commercialized pool of Tourist traps.
Then Japanese have taken over 50% of the Businesses there. In Japan,it is considered in real demand, to take the whole Japanese family to Banff for their children's wedding.
Banff is so Commercial Now compared to, years ago.
It is also considered "Overwhelmed with people" a real concern by enviromentalists.
The Banff area has a few unique things but, for Real Great scenery, you have to take the Banff-Jasper Highway -AKA: The Icefields Parkway.
Yoho Park's (Kicking Horse) campground is nestled right in amoungst the trees and gives you a feeling of being in a forest as opposed to being in a RV Park.
It is in close proximity of Lake Louise,Valley of the Ten Peaks, Emerald Lake,Johnston Canyon,Moriane Lake, the CPR's Spiral Tunnels,Takakkah Falls(very high drop),the Columbia Ice Fields,Castle Mountain. These are just a few of the REAL NICE places in the area.
Some of the best camping can be found in a Provincial or Private Camground as opposed to a Federal Campground.
Do you Golf ?
If you require any kind of Tourist Books or the like,Let me know.

The Silver fork of the American river on the western slopes of the Sierras. 11 miles off the main highway and plenty of places to camp that feel alot farther away.
If your in California the week starting with Columbus day go to Yosemite. The crowds are gone, all the trails are open and the cables for Half Dome are still up. Weather is warm but not to hot. The vast, magnificent splendor of the valley really puts things in perspective.
I've made the day trip to Yosemite, on Columbus day, the last 3 years just to climb Half Dome. We take the wimpy way of course, about 16+ miles and 3-4,000 feet of climbing.
any fairground where they are having a tractorpull!! seriously tho jasper is great off season. Too many people otherwise. I really enjoyed Ipperwash Provincial Park in Ontario ten years ago, but I have heard that the natives kinda took care of that one
