Over Drive Light Flashing
I have a 2000 Ford Ranger with the 3.0 in it. And my overdrive off light started to flash. I noticed it shifts harder. Anyone else have this probem or any incite? Is it time to trade it in?

The light in my f150 started flashing awhile back. I think they actually flash out a code that can be read, just like the engine.Mine was flashing way too fast to be a code. It did start shifting harder too. The light finally went totally dead.Might want to have it checked.

There is a code stored in the computer and it has went to fail safe mode . You can reset it by disconecting the battery , While the battery it disconnected turn the lights on and leave it this way for a minute or so then put it back together, and the light should be off (on the shifter).
Some times the light will come on if it gets to hot or needs service .
