Help with C-6 kick-down linkage
I'd like to ask some one on this fourm who has a digital camera and an F250 with a C-6 to please take a few pictures of the BRACKET (on the fire wall) that the kick-down linkage passes through so I can make one.
It should be located on the firewall near the drivers side behind the head and (I think) below the throttle linkage that come out of the firewall. There should be an oval rubber or hard plastic insert that the kick-down linkage passes through. If you could post the pix as a reply, it may help ohters with the same probelm.
I've looked high and low for a junk-yard replacement, but no luck. I figure I can make one if I can see what the heck they're suppose to look like. The factory manual only shows a partial line sketch but not enough to fabricate by.
I'm working on a 75 F-250 Super Cab, 460 Cui. but the same bracket should be on most of the 73-79 F250's with the C-6 trans.
