I am looking to buy a 95 ranger reg cab with 4 banger and a 5spd. The truck has 116,000 km (69,000 miles) on it and the guy wants $7,900 (CAN) for it? Is this good?
Also, are the 4 cyls good motors? Do you guys feel like they lack power?
What condition is the body in? What options does it have?
Sounds like a dealer price to me. Go look at www.trader.ca and compare the prices there for the same type of truck to get an indication if it's a fair deal or not. Mileage is good for year, though, less than 20k per year.
The body looks in good shape. As for options it has Air, tilt and cruise. Actually I was on the trader web site, and from the other ones on the site, I thought it wasn't a bad deal.
I'd like to know what the drivetrains are like on these trucks. Are there any known problem areas?
My sister's 1995 has a 4cyl/5sp and she loves it. I'd go for it. The drivetrains are as good as they get. I just switched from Chevy to Ford, and doubt I'll go back. Just remember not to run the **** out of it and keep up on your regular maintainence.
