I'm having problims with my 86 E-150 it stalls out when i stop without tapping the gas. It only runs good in gear if the idle screw is all the way up {no good in park too high duh} I've looked in the holley manual for the mixture screws but they only show them on the side of the primary metering block, not on mine though. Can't find them anywhere am i missing something , I'm not even shure thats the problem I'm not that much of a machanic and I've not worked on a carb before but a little help could go a long way. Thanks Themick.
Does it smell to be running too rich? Could be a blown powervalve or some dirt in the needle and seats causing it to flood.
There are idle mixture screws. The are on the baseplate at each front corner. They are hidden behind pressed in plugs that must be removed before yopu can access them. I believe that there are two more on the rear as well.
yes it smells rich,I will take a closer look tomarrow for those screws. I'ts pretty cramped under that dog house hard to see. will look into the power valve as well. Thanx for the advise.
