what should compresion be
i have 71 429 with dove-c heads, pistons are scj 11.3-1 forged alum, not sure of gasket thickness but its an aftermarket fiber&steel . i did compresion test and got 120-125 on all cylinders, this makes me think rings are good, but it seems low to me . i would have thought 160-170ish

the pistons you have maybe 11.3 with a smaller combustion chamber. the only way to tell is to look at what size chamber the pistons are rated with and find out what size your chambers are. if you have even 10-1 i think compression should still be over 160 psi. rings seem good if they are all equal. see what info you can find.
