turns, doesn't start

I have an '88 302 that turns over, but no start. I've replaced the TFI, coil, and ignition switch. No fire from the coil. It has been sitting a while-- about 2 years-it was running, but when the TFI would heat up, it would die and wouldn't start until it cooled off. This problem started after I replaced the TFI--the new one was tested and tests ok. I am at a loss as to where to look next.

Have you checked the pick up coil inside the distributer?

did u wipe the dielectric grease on the tfi?

Is it getting a spark? Could be fuel pump too. Mine would die intermittently then start back up a few hours later after getting towed. No fault codes. Check the inertial switch and the fuel pump pressure.
