I have a 1983 Ford E-150 van.
Fluid is leaking betrween the MC and Booster.
These are the orig MC and booster, and looks like
if i remove MC bolts to booster both may just fall
apart due to age/rust/etc.
I'm thinking about just replacing both booster
and MC at one time. About how much are the parts
MC and booster, and if it is something a person with
reasonable skills can do??? or should I take it
to a neighborhood car shop.
Any things I need to watch for??
Thanks...
Steve C.
parts should be around 120 or so for rebuilt units. I've never replaced them on a van before but I assume it should be just the same if not easier. So yes you can easily do it yourself.
A rebuilt booster could be $120 or so alone, so I would reconsider changing it if you aren't having any problems with it..... A rebuilt MC will run you like $30.
