I was planning to remove the body off my '78 4x4 but it's not in any of the books I have. I figure it would make tit alot easier too put the truck back together . everthing is out of it at the time, tranny, transfercase and I have too build a motor to put in it, redo the fuel system and exe. pipes.
any help and I would be thank full for,
chris
Hoist. I would strap under the wheel wells front and back, up to a pulley. Ive never tried it before, but I think it would be way too awkward and heavy for a few guys to do. A hoist would only work of course if you had enough ceiling height, and trusses to anchor the pulley to. You wouldnt happen to be doing your work in a barn are you?
Sounds like a hell of project. Man, I have a 79 Bronco that was parted out but still has a good frame and crossmembers/mounts, some body panels, glass and hardtop, and seats. It has got to go and I'd rather it go to someone than go to the scrapyard.
maybe I can make this post a little more readable! (I haven't taken my meds yet ) what I plan to do with this rig is make it a real *** kick off road ride.
Alittle about my self , and my rides I have my daily driver '99 tuarus my drag car '88 coupe mustang witch runs in the 7's on the motor and low 6's with the NO2 and I want to try my hand with off road racing, or just playing around in it. I chose the bronco becauce I like the way it looks, I think I can even up the weight front too back so jumps should be even, the room in side it, for a full roll cage and the room it has for passengers, and what ever camping stuff I need too cram in it. Oh and by the way I am a die hard ford man. I just need to study on the way to build the truck to do what I want to get out of it. I hope to make friends here and be able to learn what i need to know to get what I am looking to do with it.
thanks and see you around,
chris
