Thumbs up Greetings from "The Middle of Everywhere"..Rolla, MO

Glad to see a Missouri Chapter!!! As a an atypical college student (late bloomer)its hard to find serious rodders with good knowledge!! Although there are a lot of kids here that could wire a blender to puree a brick!!

I am looking for a Borg-Warner T-98A 4speed tranny to go original with my 59 F100. Any one within 50 miles of Rolla??? I have found an original 223-6, just need possibly the bell housing and tranny!!

Keep it up!!

59er I'm in Rolla also, have a 64 4x4 3/4ton. We should get together soon. Theres a salvage yard south of town, that has some older trucks in it , not sure if any 59's or not . Its called Taylors used cars, out by the fair grounds. E-mail me and will get together, been wanting to go out there myself and mill around for a while. John

Another Rolla offroader here. I'm also at the university but my truck is sitting in St. Louis . I've noticed teh same thing you have, alot of electrical whizzes and computer nerds, but no one that knows anything mechanical and practical, or if the have knowledge they haev no first hand experience (which is even worse).

I'm not looking for much info, i'm one of the mechanical ones that knows what i'm talking about. It's stuff like a couple weeks ago I bought a solid D44 to swap into my truck and couldn't find ANYONE that could help me strip it out. I found hands to help me move it, but i was the only one under the truck getting it out. I'm always willing to browse junkyards or hit the dirt, two of my favorite pasttimes

I have an '85 f-150. Right now it's between St. Pat's and the Mobil on the run, the big red one Something I am looking for is either a 4x4 NP435 or a smallblock 4x4 ZF 5 speed. If i could get one at a decent price i'd be all over it. Either that or I have a fresh 4x4 T-18 that if someone is willing to trade, i'll put it up. I just can't stand the T-18, dunno what it is, it just doesn't feel right.
