rebuild wont start

Something different with spark plugs = found the right firing order, and hooked up wires from plugs to cap correctly????

Good Lord. The damn dizzy is 180 degrees out. No wonder anybody who looks like a mechanic can rip some of you guys off for $$$$$$$$$$. You should either go back to 8th grade geometry class or buy a Contour and hire a mechanic to fix it for you.

i just renamed my firing order.... my engine starts but doesnt idle and wont stay running........ it starts without putting gas in carb, just doesnt want to idle....

Double check your vaccum hose connections, make sure none are left off, that'll cause you grief.

is there any reference to where i could look to see where all the vaccuum hoses go... the only one i have hooked up is the one from the tranny.

pcv was hooked up but broke so i need a new hose, i do have power brakes

pcv to carb, power brakes to spacer plate if ya got one. Make sure all the holes on the manifold are plugged. I bet that's your problem.
