Check engine light
Hi guys. I need some help in sunny Barbados. I have a 1997 Eplorer Ltd 4.0 SOHC.This evening the check engine light came on. What is the most likely cause for this? John.

One of about 30 or 40 things! You should run by your nearest Auto Zone if its available and have them read the code, it is free. Once you get the code you will begin to narrow it down. Also spend some time on this web site because there are numerous threads dealing with the codes. The search function is down right now so you kind of have to knock around some.

I kind of figured that. You might spend some time at fordfuelinjection.com it has pretty good information and may even tell how you can read the codes (I think). It is fall here and I can only guess it is warm there.
