It doesn't matter where you go, bro. Everywhere has lots of things that suck along with the things that are great. Here, it's the Californians, in Seattle, it's the suicidal rich kid hippies, in Texas its the good ol' boy republican oil barons....Just go hide under a rock, man. You don't want to live anywhere!

HEY! I'm a californian! BE NICE! C'mon down-

<we're not ALL wierd-I ain't no hippie, potsmoker, surfer, liberal, tree huger, granola eater, feminist, lesbian, homosexual, or devil worshiper>

I'm just a UN-run-of-the-mill graduate-school educated redneck! CA is nice if you like......Unregulated borders and high taxes, craziest/lamest gun laws in the states, actors as politicans, politicians as actors, 132 different languages (That's just the street signs) and lottttts of credit card debt! Between my spouse and I we clear 120K AND CAN't AFFORD TO LIVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm NOT fibbing! The cheapest priced house in ANY city with a population above 15,000 is at or above $150,000.....most are higher......I was born here and am trying to get the *!%*!%# outta here----------------> just all my crap won't fit in 'da' truck! I'd like to say good luck to you but I think/hope we each have some good luck leaving our states!!!!!!!

BigMatt you shouldn't be surprised at Annapolis. It's been a junior Baltimore for years, what with the crime and all. Did you think of moving to the Eastern Shore or Western MD? There are some very nice places there. Don't move to Frederick, because all of the D.C. yuppies are moving there because it is/was a relatively cheap place to live. Don't forget Souther MD either. It's beautiful down near Pax River.

"I'd certainly stay away from Maine....9 months of winter and three months of darn lousy sledding....its too crowded, the hunting sucks, no trees, no lakes, very little coast, very diverse population, alot of traffic, everyone is in a big rush, and everybody wants to know what yer up to....."

Roscoe - are you trying to scare him away intentionally? Good thinking!

Apparently he couldn't find a place better than MD. As far as I know, he's still there.

Most North Texans got here as quick as they could. Gas 1.89 (Prem)
Diverse people, No State Tax, Truck Reg cost me $64 yr., Good job-market, male / female ratio around 45/55 Good Community Colleges, Lot of sports stuff.
Temps go from 25 to 105, Winters ave temp around 50 which is heaven for
a N.Dak born & raised boy like me. -Wore a coat for 2 days last winter-
Down side: Occasional Tornado 0 this year tho... ; Summer Ave Temp 97
Bottom Line: It's what you make it wherever you end up. Good luck.

If I Were You I Moved To Boise, Idaho. I Used To Live In Dallas Tx. I Like Texas But Compared To The Boise Idaho Area I Would Never Move Back. The Summers Here Are Hot But Hot With 0% Huimidity So 100 Degrees Is Hot But Not Miserable. The Winters Are Cold But I Think Texas Is Colder Because Of All The Moisture In The Air Down There. In Boise You Are Like 20 Minutes From Anything You Would Want To Do Rather It Be Fidhing, Camping, Climbing, Hiking, Riding Bikes ,skiing, Clubing Anything You Want I Promise We Have I Love It Here And Will Never Move Back South Again.

How come no one has said good ol South Dakota yet? Winters are fairly mild, about every ten years we get a big 'un, I can drive for miles without seeing a neighbor, I'm only 11 miles from town, everyone is friendly and willing to stop their day to shoot the bull with ya or have a beer. PLus the hunting and fishing is awesome
