ford kingpin

I need some help on a certain topic. I have a 94' f-350 4x4 with the 7.3 turbo diesel. My question is this. When I am driving down a paved road and i happen to hit a pot hole my front end shake like ive got a blow out and if i slow down to about 10 mph it goes away until i hit rought terrain. I've been told this could be the king pin but I want to make sure this is it. Is there a sure fire way to check. or is this something else? Thanks

to check for king pin, climb under the truck and have someone shake it real hard and look at everything and see if it has any slack. big tires? if so it may be that it doesn't have a steering stabilizer. if none of this helps you out any, try greasing the tie rod ends and the drag link ends, sounds stupid, but it may just fix your problem, let me know what you got. when it starts doing it, try just jerking the wheel real hard, if that doesn't help, try hitting the brakes real hard, sometimes it will smooth things out a little.
