Talking just received quote

Howdy everyone, Well I just received a quote on a 05 reg cab 4x4 xlt 6.0
5 speed auto (torqueshift) thats a sweet engine tranny . But what I
really want is a crew cab I can afford it I think? Anyhow he told me 37k
Now thats with a tow package, the orange cab lights on the top of the cab
at the front, the built in brake controller, the nice stell 18'' wheels & etc.
Oh & power tow mirrors. But i hope i can get a long bed 350 crew 4x4 &
all the stuff i just listed for around my price range. How well have you all
been impressed with the acceleration, mileage, & towing performance
with the new 6.0.

Well let's see... On the highway I average about 18.5mpg, and in the city I average 15-16 mpg. As far as power and acceleration, it smokes 38"x15.5"(wait, hold on a minute ) tires for as long as you want bone stock. Towing performance is the best I have ever seen. I previously owned a 2002 7.3 F-350 which I felt the need to trade towards the 6.0. I have towed with both Duraless and the Cummins as well, and personally neither of them come close to the same towing power. Not to mention the seats in the Cheby are the worst things' I've ever sat in. The dodge was pretty comfortable. Anyhow back on track. Towing mileage of course varies. If I am towing my boat or something like that I usually get about 16 mpg highway (4300lbs) When I move up to towing bigger things, like a load I did recently of about 12,700lbs I got about 12.5mpg highway. I still smile everyday I go outside and see the beast sitting there...

Best of Luck,
Corey

Notes:

1) My fuel mileage is definately not as good as it could be. I create much more draft being and all I have an 8" lift and 38" tires.

does yours have the torqueshift 5 spd auto? i geuss they phased out the 4r100
4 spd auto's? Then they make the 5 & 6 spd manuals of coarse, but i really want
the torqueshift i hear it has a low first kinda like a standard?
