Fuel sending unit
Hi there everyone, I have an 87 F150 Lariat, and my front gas tank was leaking, and my guage wasn't working for either of my tanks. I went out and bought a new tank and while it's off I decided it'd be a good time to fix or replace the sending unit.
I was wondering if there are any companies that manufacture aftermarket sending units. The tank is a pain in the *** to get apart, I just figure I may as well stick a new unit in there now and forget about it for the next 10-20 years. Hehe, I just don't even want to hear Ford tell me how much money they want for one.
I called some local parts stores and they seem to have sending units for 88 Fords, but not 87's. Can anyone confirm that they are the same sending unit? If so I'll probably just pick on of those up.
