Headunit(Stereo) Removal in 2003 Expy

I did a serach and couldnt find anything about this but I need to know about removing the headunit of my 2003 Expy. Has anyone done this on their own? Do I have to remove the entire brown part of the dash to get it out? Do I need the stereo pulling tool to get it out? Any comments regarding this would be helpful. I need to pull it to install the wired FM for my ipod. IF you have tips or trick the installation of the FM is very easy but the removal of the headunit is the touble.

yes you need to remove the whole section. I started by removing the two philips screws above the instrument cluster, then pry up around the edges. I disconnected all of the switches that were attached to the plastic i.e., the headlight switch, the 4x4 switch. My head unit(nav system) was held in by 7mm screws. Just take them out and pull, the unit should slide right out.
