I Looking For A Muffler For My 04 V10 What Should I Get And What Size Anyone Have A Part # Thinking About The Flowmaster I Dont What To Be To Loud But I Want A Nice Tone, I Would Like It To Sound Ballsy!
Unless you really want to make it loud, I would go with Magna Flow. I did and love it. The flow masters were easily twice as loud and thats not what I was looking for. The muffler shop will know which one to put on, unless your doing the job yourself.
Then I went with the True Flow Airfilter. With these 2 mods I am up in my MPG about .6-1.0, depending on how I drive it.

I also went with a SS Magna Flow. It's refered to as the "large" body". I'm not sure of the overal size but much smaller than stock. Inlet/outlet are in line 3-1/4, I think. I pull a toy hauler with mine and I don't want to yell at the person in the next seat........
It has a soft rumble under 2000 rpm and a little roar at 4~5000 rpm.
I own a 2002 Excursion 4x4 Lariat, Ultimate v-10. After selling my 02 F150 Lariat upon which I had installed a 3 stage FlowMaster I returned to the same muffler shop and asked the good folks at city muffler in OKC, OK what they would reccommend for the V-10. He rec'd the 24" Accelerator.
I am extremely pleased with it, has a deeper crisper sound that is barely audible iside the vehicle. In addition, with the addition of K&N AF I have seen a 2-3 mpg improvement in fuel economy.
I have the Banks Power Pack on my 03' V10. I took the Banks Dynaflow muffler off and put a Flowmaster 70 series on. The Banks muffler was too funky sounding for me. It let alot of bad V10 tones out...you know V6 city tones. The Flowmaster 70 series is much better. It still sounds goofy at times but you will learn to love it. The 70 series on my V10, granted I have headers, new Y pipe, and larger pipes. gives it a low rumbly sounds. The thing sounds awesome at idle. Like a very very powerful engine. In the 1,000-2,000 rpm range, it does (I don't care what anyone says) have a V6 tone to it. Not an exact V6 but the similarities are noticable. Once you climb over 2500 rpm the engine sounds great. A very powerful head turning sound. V6's sound like V6's all the time at any rpm. The V10 at hard acceleration sound like nothing and I mean nothing else on the road. It is a head turner. I chose the 70 series because I was afraid of being too loud with anything else. I really like it. Also my wonderful state of Massachusetts bans all aftermarket exhaust that emit anything louder than the stock system. So that means ALL aftermarket systems are Illegal. But I kept it tame and they let it go. It sounds good with out being insulting.
