New Pics Are Up....

I finally cleaned the truck and took pics of the new setup..
8.5" Donahoe Racing Lift, Dynatrac Super Duty combo, 38/15.50R16.5 PJs, 16.5x9.75 Elite Alloy Powerglides, Donahoe Racing Traction Bars, Donahoe Racing Dual Shock Hoops, High Angle Driveline Long Slip front shaft, Chrome Tow Hooks, AMP Research steps, etc....

I'm currently running 7100s that belong to a buddy of mine, but will most likely get the DR signature series resevoirs soon.....and we'll be making a special edition shock clamp that I'll be running.

I had all the DR, Dynatrac, and some of the stock stuff powder coated "near chrome/crystal clear" and painted the stabalizers a metallic silver that I thought was pretty close....

Here are a few pics....

Special Thanks go out to Kreg and Mike at Donahoe Racing, Robert at Dynatrac, Marty and Kevin at Truck Toyz, Matt at Attitude Performance, and everyone else who has helped me out and given me ideas. And of course big thanks to my friends over at Alamo's Body Shop for use of shop space and helping many late nights getting the project finished.

I still have quite a few things planned and I'll be sure to post pics as we get them done......

Those wheels are sweet.

What can you tell us about those Donahoe traction bars?

Great job DC! Your truck looks super!!! I hope to have mine looking that sweet someday. Could you tell us a little more about your traction bar setup?

Here's a pic of the traction bars....

I just got the single tube style (the also have a "Race" and " Flame" traction bar setup. The lower mount is welded to the axle tube and the upper mount is a bracket that requires you to drill four holes into the frame per side. On the bar itself it uses sleeve poly urethane bushings and the upper end of the bar is fixed with the lower end being threaded for adjustment.
From what I have been told they have discontinued production of the traction bars for the time being but still have some in stock.

They work good, I use to have real bad wheel hop stock but now it keeps the rears planted and they just spin.

I may get a different upper mount that will allow them to move and not bind the suspension but I'm not sure at this point. The suspension still can articulate fairly well I think (the only thing limiting downtravel at this point in the rear is the 7100s that I borrowed are too short so they fully extend too soon).

Thanks everyone so far for the compliments

You'll get a little of that with the flex of the frame.

Thanks again for all the comments, everyone.

I get in and out with the help of AMP Research Steps:

Fully Extended:

Retracted:

As you can tell by the other pics of the truck, you can't really see them when they are retracted up. They operate nice and smotth and are pretty sturdy.

And yeah, it's normal for the bumper to be like that flexing the suspension. That's why I leave it spaced down a little, if I were to pull it all the way up it would probably look better but I'd think something might break or get bent off road.

I had a complete dumb moment there... One of those things i knew but forgot i knew... Maybe it's because I never noticed it when I'm sittin in the truck that's flexing. hmmm

Badass steps by the way!! I'm right up there with the drooling crowd...
