Howdy. New to the site, always owned Fords, wouldn't own anything else. I've got an '85 F-250HD XLT Lariat Explorer, 460 4V, C-6, 4.10s, 8600lb GVWR. Rolled out of the Twin Cities plant in May of '85, DSOd to L.A. It sat out in the desert, damned near abandoned for almost two years, I've brought it back from almost dead over the past year. I swear it's indestructable...and unlike yall back east, no rust. I've been looking at new Super Duties...boy, what a difference...my truck was the top-of-the line "luxury" truck back when it was new! I still prefer my old beast, though.
Other than a '90 Bronco XLT with a EFI 302 and a '70 Torino with a 351 2V, all of my Fords have been Mustangs...'66 with a 289 2V, '70 Mach 1 with a 351C 4V, '79 with a 302 (junked that damned VV 2 barrel), '87 LX 5.0, '91 LX 5.0, and my present pride & joy, a '97 SVT Cobra. I still kick myself for ever getting rid of all the others. All bets are off depending on how the '06 Mustang Cobra turns out.
Hey, did yall hear the new Silverados come with a heated tailgate? Keeps your hands from getting cold while you're pushing it home.
Good evening and welcome to the best family oriented Ford Truck site on the net. Do I sense an ex Marine? Glad you are a proud Ford owner and love your truck and Mustangs...I'd love a Cobra,myself...so when you get that new one...you can just send me the old one.
