Got a big date tomorrow night

After getting off of work today I called a friend of mine that I had not heard from in a while and her and I got to talking. Somewhere along the line we came up with the idea of going on a date Wednesday night. It's a pretty big date for me because after a bad heart breaker almost a year ago I have finally found someone that I have become very fond of. She said that we should go somewhere really nice to dinner and then we can do something after. I've got a million things flying through my head right now, like my truck is caked in dirt and I gotta clean it sometime between now and after work tomorrow. Now I am totally lost and don't wanna mess things up.

Anyone got any advise on a nice place to take her? Living in Norfolk we pretty much have everything most other big cities have.

Take her to the drive through carwash first, that way your truck will be clean. Then go to Sizzler or Hometown Buffet, and see how she reacts to the "all you can eat" theme. This will predict the future cost of feeding her and the results of that as well.

Be sure to do some laundry before hand, wink wink, say no more, ehhh???

Check what's on TV and have lots of wine coolers available along with the beer.

Naval Base ?

*Grin*

I don't what you have there for eating establishments but make sure you order something you can talk through (while eating). Pizza ?

Then take her bowling or play pool

I've never met her so you get the general type answer

Thumbs up

Be SMOOTH, and be calmn. Dont overdo things. You undoubtley will be feeling alot of pressure, but dont let it get to you. Dont have the attitude, "dont screw anything up". Be fun and easy going. Just realize this isnt the end of the world if it doesnt work out. Goodluck and let us know how it goes!!

P.S. Dinner and a movie never hurt anyone

be confident, dont even think about screwing things up just be yourself and havea googd time, its just a date nothing more nothing less. I dont know the girl but if shes the type you would feel more comfortable being able to talk to privatley in and alone, watch a movie at your place.... NO EXPECTATION.... lol dont let anything happen on a first date... they'll respect you for that.

Movies suck on dates, you can' talk to each other. Leave that for the married folks and kids, the m folks want peace and quiet and love to tell the other to shut up.

Take her to eat then to a club or something. I meet up with a gal I went to high school with not long ago, we went and ate had a few beers and ended up at her place. No details will be given here but it is one of those "not meant to be" kind of things though due to compatability of personality.

i would take her wherever i like to eat. more comfortable for me. then see what she's got in mind for doing after.. you'll know from how she's dressed. but don't be all night about it. you don't want her falling asleep on you when you stop at your favorite "i like to come here and look at the stars" place

Take her to Max & Erma's downtown at McArthur Center. It's a burger type joint, but they have good food and it's a really comfortable place. Then after that go over to Jillians at Waterside, or maybe one of the other places in there depending on what type of scene you guys are into. Just my .02 and good luck!

Thanks for all the ideas and support. I never thought about going to Downtown Norfolk, but that sounds like an excellent idea.
