I was going to replace the MLP sensor on the transmission of my 1994 Ford F150 E40D.
I bought one from the Ford dealership. When I opened the box it has another plug along with some more stuff. The existing wiring harness plug will not work. The instructions tell me to remove all 8 wires and put them in the new plug.
I called the dealership and asked if they had one that would fit my truck and they told me no. I will also need an alignment tool to put the switch in place.
I am going to take my truck to a Ford mechanic the day after tomorrow and he will install it.
Do any of you know of an adapter that I could buy that would fit the switch and connect to the existing harness?
the new plug is a retro fit. the old style was very prone to letting water leak into the MLP. actually the entire MLP is a new design with a new plug. there's a tech bulliten on this #95-6-19
