86 Bronco II 4X4 Shift Problem
All, I have a 86 Bronco II w/ 246,000 miles on it. I live in Michigan and need the 4x4 to work for winter. Last year the 4x4 stopped engauging. I hit the button and it flashes and made a couple of clicks but did not engauge. I have the truck taken apart some and believe to have narrowed it down to either a fuse link or Transfer shift motor. I have the mit-manual 5 speed with the 14-50 Txfer case. I put a clutch in last year but the 4x4 did work afterwards. I know I should put the "pony" to pasture but would love to see how long the 2.9L can go until she blows. Until now this is the only malfunction since 31,000 miles.
