Ever consider a V6? Given limited engine bay space it might be worth checking into.

we put a 5.0 in our 88 with advance adapters kit and recamended proceeduer. we had about 80 hrs in it total with the 6" lift kit .we own a machine shop but using thier stuff because it is fast and super clean with no cobble. It eventualy tore out to much drive train so we are looking at a 4.0 v6 for the 84.we never needed full throttle unless we were running streetlights to streetlight but there are way better cars for that purpose.

Tim,

Thanks for the tip. Checked out Advance Adapters and am getting a catalog. Can't do it my self, will have to get a shop to do it. (Know any in central New Jersey?) Thanks, Hans.
