I got myself into MT now, I rolled into town Wed. evening. I was gonna go all the way through from WA, but going over 4th o' July pass, I decided it was time to get off the road. I realized that in the middle of this windy, snowy, icy night, I hadn't seen a single vehicle for nearly half an hour. I was sliding all over the road, even with a speed of about 25, and I realized that everyone from around there must be smart enough to stay off the roads in these conditions, so I stayed the night in Kellogg, ID. This in my first trip to MT, and I gotta say it certainly lives up to the name Big Sky Country. It is a real nice state, with not too many people, even in Billings.
Now before this, I considered myself a man of the cold. I'd wander off with the temperature in the low 30's with only a sweatshirt on. The weather here has embarassed me. It's been below zero at night and upper 20's daytime, and with the blasting windchill, I'm really bundling up for the first time in recent memory.
I've been away from a computer for a few days, and it may be a few more before I'm back, so yall take it easy.
