Diesel model questions
Ok, I wish I had the time and patence to seach through this whole site and see if could find something but I just don't. About a year ago my friends dad gave him his old truck, a 86 ranger turbo diesel 4x4. My friend lost his licence so I ended up driving it around this summer a few times to go out to the rodeo and some mud holes. Now, I want one. The problem is they seem to be non-existant exept for the one my friend owns. I was hoping someone here might know what years these where made, and why they didn't make more. I had the pleasure of watching my friend use his little range with basicaly road tires pull out anouther friend with a 2002 gmc z71 with swampers on it. (Wish I had a camara.) Anyway, if anyone knows about the fate of this truck please let me know what happened. Also if someone knows where to find one that isn't in to bad a shape I would be greatful.

From the sticky at the top of the Ranger forum, in the engine section, there is an item concerning diesel Rangers. This may answer a few questions: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s....php?p=1644238. Lack of power and lack of sales seemed to kill the idea of offering them in this country. No idea where to find one, but if you do be aware that some people have complained that parts are getting hard to find.
